From the voice, it is a question of retaining the first sound: a sound wave redrawing the space. Claire Bergerault sculpts this wave, which crosses and imprints the material.

The accordion is another voice, insinuating itself, distorting and merging with the organic. It is a base on which the voice puts its print. From this union, other resonances are born, as far as the ear can hear, which weave links with a distant known.

STICK-SLIP

The study of friction forces between two surfaces sliding on each other (tribology) is a research field in full revival. However, already in the 15th century, Leonardo da Vinci introduced the concept of friction coefficient.

Any friction induces vibratory phenomena which are a source of noise.

The static frictional force is the force required to initiate sliding, while the dynamic frictional force is the resistance to movement once it has been initiated. Consider the sliding between two bodies: if the driving speedV imposed on one of the surfaces q is sufficiently high the sliding is continuous. On the other hand, if this speed is below a critical speed Vc, the sliding is intermittent. In this case the friction force oscillates between two values in a regular way.

Over a long period of time, the two surfaces move simultaneously at almost the same speed: STICK.

Then, beyond a certain force, the two surfaces slide rapidly relative to each other: SLIP,

until they stick together again. A new stick-slip cycle is then repeated.
